Runing Extra

Washington, DC Capitol Area
April 22-23, 2013

Add to your ProRail operations fun with a stopover in the Washington DC area on your way to ProRail 2013 in New Jersey!  And top off the trip with a quick ride to New Jersey on Amtrak’s Acela or a Regional train.

We’ll be hosting operating sessions on several area railroads on Monday April 22nd and Tuesday April 23rd, including Paul Dokos’ Baltimore Harbor District, John King’s Baltimore & Ohio Shenandoah Sub-Division, and Steve King’s Virginia Midland Railway.  Additional railroads may be added, but a limited number of operating slots are available, so let us know as soon as possible if you expect to attend.  If you can’t make both days let us know as we may be able to accommodate a few one-day operators.

Plan your travel to arrive the prior evening as the Monday and Tuesday sessions are scheduled from 10am to 3pm.  A no-host dinner and get together is planned for Monday evening.  Tuesday’s session will end in plenty of time to catch an Amtrak Acela or Regional train.
