Description

The Pittsburg, Shawmut & Northern RR was a coal hauling railroad that ran from the coal fields in western PA to an eventual interchange with the DL&W in northwestern NY. Along the way there are interchanges with the PRR, Erie, and the P&S.

It was in receivership throughout its existence and finally was sold for scrap in 1947. I model the fall of 1923 when business was good and coal orders were high. Fast clock time is 2 ½ to 1.
